To volunteer for

 The Healthy Athletes Special Smiles Screenings for

The World Invitational in 2008
& World Games in 2009!

Volunteer Information

• Invitational Winter Games 2008- Tuesday February 26th & Wednesday February 27th in Boise, Idaho
• World Games 2009- February 7th – 13th in Boise, Idaho
• No cost to attend any sporting event
• Required to attend Two 4-hour shifts, with food provided for each shift.
• Shift hours are:  Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-12pm; 12pm-4pm; and 4pm-8pm.
• Required: Volunteer Application, fingerprinting at the World Game Headquarters- (no cost), background check, and special venue trainings.  Download an application at:   www.2009worldgames.org 
• Uniforms: Each volunteer will be given a fleece vest, ski jacket and hat.  Other shirts will be provided for Special Smiles in addition to the Special Olympic uniform.
• An In-Kind service write-off is available to offices that close their practice for volunteering.
• C.E. Credits: A Dentist will receive 1 C.E. credit for every 2 hours of volunteered time, up to 5 C.E. credits.  A Dental Hygienist will receive 1 C.E. credit for every 2 hours of volunteered time up to 7 C.E. credits.
