Board of Direction

Meet the board members elected to serve on the IDHA board for various terms. All positions are voluntary and unpaid, with the exception of the Executive Director. They meet regularly to discuss and contemplate various topics regarding Idaho’s dental hygienists and how they can better serve the state. They plan and implement various events, including continuing education. They stay informed of legislative changes in dentistry that affect dental hygiene.

Tana Allen-President

My name is Taña Allen, RDH, BSDH. I am the president of the IDHA. I am a student at Idaho State University pursuing my master's degree. I am the senior dental hygiene instructor at the College of Southern Idaho. I have also been a public health dental hygienist for 13 years. I have four children and enjoy cooking, watching movies, and doing crafts in my spare time.

Cami Sindon-Vice President

Cami Sindon, RDH, CDHC, FADHA, is the Manager of Community Outreach at Delta Dental of Idaho, she’s also a Registered Dental Hygienist at Austin Creek Dental. Cami holds a Bachelor of Applied Science with a Leadership certificate focused on Project Management from Boise State University and a Community Dental Health Coordinator certification from Catawba Valley Community College. She also has an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from the American Institute of Health Technology, 2004. She leads efforts to expand access to services for children and families, with a particular focus on the school-based dental sealant program—an initiative she is especially proud of for its impact in reducing barriers to care and improving long-term oral health outcomes.























Laughlin Drake-Treasurer
Laughlin Drake grew up in Arizona and earned dual bachelor's degrees in biomedical science and dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University. After graduating, she moved to Wyoming, where she met her husband. Together, they embarked on an unforgettable 1.5-year journey along the Pan-American Highway, traveling through Central and South America. In 2018, Laughlin and her husband settled in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Two years later, she returned to school to earn a master's degree in Higher Education. Laughlin has been teaching dental hygiene at North Idaho College for almost five years. With a decade of experience as a practicing dental hygienist, she is deeply passionate about teaching and finds immense joy in witnessing her students’ “aha” moments. Laughlin is also a proud mom to two young boys, ages 3.5 and 1.5. Outside of work, she loves traveling and exploring the beauty of the world with her family.

Bonnie Hunt-Social Media Coordinator
This is my first time being on a part of the board, and I am thrilled to join in this capacity! I graduated from Carrington College in Boise in 2010 with my associate's degree in dental hygiene. After working 15 years in clinical, I completed my Bachelor's degree, and now I am exploring other avenues that dental hygiene has to offer! My hope is to continue my education! I have been with my wonderful husband for 21 years, and we have two beautiful daughters together, Brooklyn, who is 11, and Hailey, 9. We have lived in Emmett, Idaho, on 11 acres and enjoy family and the outdoors! My hobbies are singing and piano, comedy, and public speaking!!

Cyndee Harmon-ISDA Liaison

As a dedicated dental hygienist, educator, and scholar, Cyndee Harmon brings extensive clinical experience and a strong commitment to advancing oral health through education, research, and service. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from ISU in 1996 and spent 26 years in clinical, where she developed a strong foundation in nonsurgical periodontal therapy, preventative, and patient education. Due to her expertise in a patient-centered approach, she became well-known for her techniques in successful patient care. In 2019, she transitioned into academia as a clinical faculty member at ISU, bringing her experience and love for education to a full circle. In 2025, she completed her Master's and tenures as an Assistant Professor and Senior Clinic Coordinator. She is deeply committed to community outreach and professional services, serving as a member of the Dental Advisory Committee for the Pocatello Free Dental Clinic. Through the Bengal Smiles for Life Initiative, she helps senior students provide tele-dentistry services to local assisted living and memory care facilities.  





















Alexis Stone-Annual Session Committee
Alexis graduated from The College of Southern Idaho in May of 2025. She has been with her husband for over 11 years. Together, they have a 3 1/2 year old daughter, with another one on the way. She works full-time as a registered dental hygienist while completing her bachelor’s degree at Idaho State University.
